CONFERENCE VENUES

The Mountain House offers three rooms that
can be used for conference activities.

Lounge Room - seats 50 (10m x 7m)
Summit Room - seats 20 (8m x 3.5m)
Egmont Room - seats 40 ( 9m x 5m).

These three rooms give a wide choice of
venues and meeting or display areas.

ACCOMMODATION

Hotel Rooms (part of main building) 4 rooms, 8 people.
Chalet (detached from main building) 6 units, 14 persons. TOTAL of 22 people

One Chalet has a two bedroom unit - roll-away beds can be added to most rooms.
Also available Anderson Alpine Lodge – just outside Park Reserve – Accommodates 6 people.

Tariff - Special Flat rate of $95.00 per room (shared or singles).

Per Person Charge (Single Occupancy) Full day charge including Four Course Set Menu, Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch, Morning & Afternoon tea $189.00 per person.

Per Person Charge (Share Twin Occupancy) Full day charge including Four Course Set Menu, Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch, Morning & Afternoon tea $141.50 per person

RESTAURANT AND MEALS

The Egmont Room is one of Taranaki's top a-la-carte restaurants with an extensive menu of New Zealand dishes and game personally created by our Swiss host/chef Berta. However, a set menu can be arranged at $39.00 per head. This fine restaurant is an added attraction to the conference. Our menu can be found at menu

Two course Lunch $23.50.Packed Lunch $15.00. Fingerfood Lunch $25.00.

Breakfast $20.00 (cooked and continental).

Morning and afternoon tea - Tea, coffee and light snacks at $5.00 per person half day.

Meal times will be arranged to suit convention schedule.

EVENING USE OF FACILITIES

It is expected that the conference work will be completed by 5pm, which will allow time to re-set the Lounge area for evening use of other guests. However, should the convention wish to use all facilities after dinner and have exclusive use of the Mountain House please advise at time of booking. It will be necessary to refuse our regular dinner clientele, therefore a surcharge of $300 per night will be made to provide total privacy.
Hireage from 8-5 pm $150.00 per day.

DAY USE ONLY

The Mountain House is available also for day use conference only. Depending upon Conference attendance and other visitors there is a charge of $150 which covers setting up and use of white boards, overhead projectors, video etc. Conference must be finished by 5.00 pm

SPECIAL FEATURES

Use of Egmont National Park for team building exercises including bush jogging or walks, winter snow skiing, guided summit climbs, Sauna complex, trout streams, personalised helicopter with scenic flight over summit of Egmont and golf 10 minutes away. Also wilderness horse treks out on a Taranaki high country retreat by leaving the Mountain House early morning returning in the evening.
